The NASA chief leader said he had to sign a peace deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta so as to prevent more deaths following political animosity He defended his move to hold a secret and surprising meeting with Uhuru saying he did that after a moment of reflection. The deal has however angered his three fellow NASA co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka,Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula who held a meeting without Raila on Friday,March 16. The ODM leader while speaking during a funeral in Kisii county confessed that meeting Uhuru was one of the hardest decision he has had to make in recent times. Since his meeting with Uhuru on Friday, February 9, there have been mixed reactions from the NASA camp with co-principals Moses Wetangula, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka initially taking issue for not being consulted before the meeting. The co-principals eventually agreed that dialogue was the way to go but the fate of the alliance still hangs in the balance.
