Machakos County governor Dr Alfred Mutua has rubbished attempts by some county members to impeach him in a motion tabled in the assembly a few days ago. Mutua has warned that such attempts will fail miserably insisting that his government’s desire to work for people of Machakos cannot be slowed by the move.
Governor Mutua says he will not be cowed by the move from the county assembly members to impeach him describing those who want to impeach him as lacking focus and tangible development agenda for people of Machakos county.
He has also described the proponents of the motion as losers who are bound to fail in their move maintaining he will keep on advocating for good governance through his Maendeleo Chap Chap movement.
In a statement sent to newsroom by his media Liaison and Communication officer Eric Kamanga, Mutua said his track record speaks for itself mentioning the laying of tarmac roads as a case in point.
Mutua has faced strong opposition from his backyard with his Maendeleo Chap Chap move causing political superiority tussle in the county. Governor Mutua spoke while at Miambani Kitui central where he has pitched camp to popularise his party.
